A major new healthcare facility
Jordan’s healthcare system is under pressure. Chronic diseases such as asthma, cancer and diabetes are increasing. Population growth is adding to the strain on hospitals and clinics.
To respond, the Saudi Jordanian Investment Company, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, is investing $400 million in the Kingdom Health Campus. With our partners in the Sidara collaborative, Dar and Perkins&Will, we’re providing design, engineering and construction supervision for this major new development.
One campus for care, research and education
The Kingdom Health Campus will combine treatment, training and research in one place. Buildings are linked by a central plaza where people can meet and share ideas.
The hospital will have 330 beds, 72 outpatient clinics and a dedicated children’s hospital. It will also host five centres of excellence covering cardiovascular disease, oncology, neurosciences, gastroenterology and orthopaedics. Four specialist institutes will focus on genomics, stem cells, bioinformatics and public health.
A patient-first approach
The campus will provide specialist services in cancer, mental health, women’s health and elderly care. Every service is designed around patient needs.
Educating the next generation
With space for 600 students and a future intake of 100 each year, the campus will train the region’s next generation of doctors and researchers. The masterplan allows for growth, with potential to expand the hospital by 50% and the university by 400%.
Certainty for the future
The Kingdom Health Campus will set a new standard for healthcare in Jordan and the wider region. It will improve patient care, accelerate research and inspire the next generation of medical leaders.
