Move over George Clooney, step aside Cate Blanchett, make way for Currie & Brown, this year’s nomination for "Construction Consultant/Surveyor of the Year" in the prestigious Building Awards 2008.
The annual Building Awards are the biggest construction industry event of the year and are all about rewarding best practice, innovation and excellence.
To be shortlisted Currie & Brown had to beat off competition from all sizes of multidisciplinary practices and all types of construction consultants, as well as demonstrate clear evidence of our success in 2007.
The magazine receives hundreds of entries from construction companies vying to showcase their achievements during the last year whether that is a single project, a record turnover, a great example of integrated team work or a brand new product that has taken the industry by storm. Nicola Giblin, Head of Marketing and Communications said "Getting our entry ready was a real team effort, involving people from different disciplines across the business, each person contributing information from their areas of knowledge and expertise to make our entry a standout."
The result was a well-rounded entry that focused on hard facts about our turnover and profitability, to our enduring relationships with blue chip clients in the UK such as M&S, to our strong links with Government-backed projects in international markets like Mexico, through to a statement about our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility. The winners will be announced Tuesday 1st April 2008 at a black tie ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.
