Franklin + Andrews and Currie & Brown in joint venture have been appointed on a three year framework agreement for BP Exploration Operating Company Ltd. The joint venture, Currie Franklin + Andrews (CFA), will provide a fully managed project controls service (PCS) for BP’s North Sea regional production unit in the UK.
BP’s North Sea regional production unit has its HQ in Aberdeen and additional sites at Forties Pipeline System terminals in Grangemouth, Sullom Voe terminal in Shetland, Central Area Transmission Systems terminal in Middlesbrough and operations at Dimlington, as well as offshore locations and contractors’ offices. Both Franklin + Andrews and Currie & Brown have worked at Grangemouth and Sullom Voe for BP on previous projects and will provide project control services for operation and maintenance works to BP’s North Sea assets to assist the continuity of operation on each site. The work will also encompass new project works to enhance the assets of the regional production unit.
CFA will provide estimating, cost engineering and assurance, quantity surveying, risk facilitation and planning and scheduling services under the framework as well as contract, claims and supplier management.

The framework is due to run until early 2014.
