Currie & Brown has expanded its building surveying operation in Jersey with the acquisition of St Helier-based business Hill Associates.
Hill Associates, founded 20 years ago, is a well established building surveying business in Jersey, covering both private and commercial surveying with a growing emphasis on the latter. Founder Tony Hill will move under the Currie & Brown umbrella with the business.
“This demonstrates the willingness of Currie & Brown to make strategic acquisitions at any level of our business, where it is clearly demonstrated that deals such as this will enhance our specialist knowledge and deliver real value to clients,” commented David Broomer, Currie & Brown Chairman.
Hill Associates has increased its commercial surveying business during recent years, and has a strong client list including prominent Jersey and UK based companies and organisations.
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, was completed last week.
“This gives us a great opportunity to offer Jersey a peerless level of professional service in the building surveying sector. Hill Associates has built an enviable reputation for providing timely, clear-cut and practical advice,” commented Rob Luscombe, Currie & Brown Associate Director, who will head up the new business.
Tony Hill commented: “Hill Associates has established itself in the commercial property sector over a long period. After 20 years, we are now joining Currie & Brown, a move that brings our new and existing clients both UK and international reach when they need it.”
